When I look back, and reflect on the genesis of my being a Fairy, I realize that it must have started from birth—I came here this way. In listening to stories of my infancy, the emerging theme was that mine was a calming energy—an energy in which those around me would take great comfort while holding me. Loved ones often spoke of this unique gift, unwittingly planting seeds of affirmation that I possessed something special to be shared with the world.


By an early age, there were two truths that I felt deeply about by myself: I knew that I was a creative, and that I would, one day, be of service to others. Throughout my childhood, this creativity was channeled through varied mediums which came naturally to me. Art and music quickly became my life—the paintbrush and piano my preferred forms of expression. After several years of formal education in these areas, I began to feel a strong pull to hospitality and, upon serving the first plate to my very first guest, understood clearly the impact that my temperament could have in this industry.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of working in some of the best establishments this city has to offer. During this time, I have come to understand that the fast-paced, high-stress environment of the restaurant industry is the perfect home for my unique set of gifts. Through my creative, measured service style, I have earned a reputation for turning the most challenging situations around, while creating congenial working environments where all guests feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. While embracing this role has been a process for me, I have come to feel a sense of purpose and belonging in this ever-evolving and, often, underestimated, industry.

Since my childhood, I have never stopped believing in magic, and often say that fairy dust is real—because it is. Now, 25 years after beginning this journey, I once again feel a pull, this time in the capacity of a consultant answering the call to help Restaurateurs and Chefs realize their respective visions. What I have to offer cannot easily be defined or labeled. However, once I share with my clients that I am a Fairy, it all makes sense: I create magic.
